Sons of God, Daughters of Men

Every secret of a writer’s soul, every experience of his life, every quality of his mind, is written large in his works.
— Virginia Woolf

As a young child I started writing stories I created in dreams. They were my reflection of the world as I saw it, or would have liked to. I read books--endless troves of books. I escaped my world to enter fantastical ones and decided I wanted to create my own. I'm not a talker. I never was. This is how I expressed emotion. This is how I expressed my thoughts--through printed words. Somehow that practice got lost. I grew up. I followed dreams everyone told me were big and important.  I stopped writing.

Several years later. . .I wrote. I had to put all those years of confusion on paper.

Sons of God, Daughters of Men is a story of a young woman's journey to rediscover herself. Her trials and tribulations, while painful, made her more human--her journey made her stronger. Face your demons.

God never answered me when I asked why I deserved this life. I think I figured it out, though. Maybe it’s because even though I am afraid of everything, I still keep going. The world always finds a way to beat you down until you are damaged beyond recognition, and fear is the normal reaction. It’s how you use it that matters. Some say that fear makes you a coward. I say being fearless makes you careless. I think I’m a little bit of both, though. Is that brave? I fear death, I fear people, darkness, and being alone—but, I will fear no evil.
— Analise (excerpt from Sons of God, Daughters of Men)

Locked deep in the mind of Analise Crawford is the location of the last piece of the map to the Gates to Hell. Five years ago, to protect this secret, she injected herself with a serum to erase her memories.

She remembers nothing of her decree to protect humanity from the darkness, nor that The Firm, a secret cartel of demon loyalists, have been sent on a mission to collect her. However, vivid dreams of shadowy men, stone tablets, and strange encounters with familiar faces awaken her curiosity and set off her paranoia.

When a clandestine Firm tracker locates Analise, her estranged family intercepts, bringing her back to a vicious power struggle between angel and demon.
